BharathCloud launches first AI-ready sovereign cloud centre at CtrlS Hyderabad facility

BharathCloud, an Indian AI-ready cloud services provider, has launched its first Cloud Centre at the Hyderabad DC1 facility of CtrlS Datacenters, marking a major step towards strengthening India’s sovereign and AI-ready digital infrastructure ecosystem. The Cloud Centre was formally inaugurated by Sridhar Pinnapureddy. The initiative comes amid rising demand for secure, scalable and sovereign digital infrastructure as artificial intelligence workloads, data localisation and digital transformation accelerate across sectors.

Global property consulting firm JLL acted as the exclusive advisor for the transaction through which BharathCloud established its datacentre ecosystem. The facility is hosted within CtrlS’ AI-ready Rated-4 datacenter ecosystem. Congratulating BharathCloud on the launch, Pinnapureddy said India’s AI and digital growth story would require resilient, secure and sovereign infrastructure at scale. He added that CtrlS remains focused on enabling the transformation through AI-ready datacenters and trusted infrastructure ecosystems.

Rahul Takkallapally and Padma Reddy Sama, Co-Founders of BharathCloud, said CtrlS’ digital infrastructure capabilities and JLL’s strategic expertise would help the company build “India’s most trusted AI-ready sovereign cloud ecosystem” and support its national and global expansion plans. According to the company, the initiative is part of BharathCloud’s planned $100 million (around ₹950 crore) investment over the next five years to develop AI-ready sovereign cloud infrastructure across India, including Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Kolkata and Pune, along with Tier-II and Tier-III cities.
