Bank of Baroda extends support to rehabilitation centre in Mizoram

Bank of Baroda has extended support to the Thutak Nunpuitu Team (TNT) Centre at Muanna Veng in Aizawl, Mizoram, by providing essential food supplies to meet the facility’s daily kitchen requirements.

The assistance was extended during a visit by Lal Singh, Executive Director of Bank of Baroda, as part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at supporting disadvantaged communities.

The TNT Centre is a major rehabilitation facility in Mizoram that provides care and support to orphans, persons with disabilities and individuals with substance use disorders. The food supplies were received by R. Malsawmtluanga, General Secretary of TNT, in the presence of Shiba Pada Nayak, General Manager and Zonal Head, Northeastern States Zone, and Diwakar Jha, Deputy General Manager and Regional Head, Guwahati Region, along with TNT volunteers and bank staff.

Singh said supporting vulnerable sections of society was an important part of the bank’s commitment to inclusive growth. He acknowledged TNT’s role in rehabilitation and community welfare, emphasising the importance of collective efforts to build a more inclusive society.

In Guwahati, the initiative highlights the role of banking institutions operating across the Northeast in supporting community welfare beyond conventional financial services. Such CSR activities also underscore the importance of regional coordination in addressing social challenges across the northeastern states.
