A detailed review meeting was held on the operationalisation of the chief secretary-led task force constituted for creation of two lakh government jobs in Assam over the next five years in line with the decision of the Assam Cabinet.The meeting, chaired by Assam chief secretary Ravi Kota, focused on the mapping of existing and anticipated vacancies across departments, field offices, autonomous bodies, colleges, universities, missions and societies.Key aspects discussed include assessment of year-wise retirement projections and grade-wise vacancies in field offices; identification of direct recruitment vacancies across departments; rationalisation and streamlining of recruitment processes to ensure transparency and timely appointments…
