Meghalaya BJP president, Ernest Mawrie on Monday requested Governor Satya Pal Malik to order Chief Minister Conrad Sangma not to deny information sought under Right to Information (RTI).  Mawrie said that the BJP has filed number of RTI seeking information on implementation of Saubhagya scheme, Jal Jeevan Mission, COVID-19 expenditure besides others, but the government is yet to furnish the information. The demand for inclusion of Meitei community of Manipur in the Schedule Tribe (ST) list of Indian Constitution resurfaced when members of the Scheduled Tribe Demand Committee (STDC) Manipur staged a peaceful demonstration in Imphal on Sunday.
