Vi strengthens enterprise AI play with PwC India partnership, launches Vi Intelligence

Vodafone Idea (Vi) has stepped up its focus on the growing enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) market with the launch of Vi Intelligence, a strategic initiative aimed at accelerating AI-led transformation across its operations and business customers. The move reflects the growing demand for AI-driven solutions as companies increasingly explore intelligent automation, improved customer engagement and operational efficiency.

The initiative centres on the Vi Intelligence Lab, established in partnership with PwC India, which will develop, incubate and scale enterprise AI solutions. PwC India will deploy a dedicated Centre of Excellence team at Vi’s Mumbai facility, combining Vi’s telecom infrastructure with PwC’s transformation expertise to connect global AI leaders, startups, research institutions and enterprises.

Jagbir Singh, CTO of Vi, said the initiative would help organisations adopt AI through practical and scalable applications. Vinish Bawa, Partner and Leader, TMT, PwC India, highlighted the growing importance of trusted ecosystems for responsible AI adoption and autonomous business processes.

The lab will focus on three strategic pillars — Agentic, Assistive, and Sovereign and Responsible AI — with use cases assessed under Vi’s GRACIE Responsible AI framework.

Its programmes will include AI incubation projects, proprietary technology development, global hackathons, innovation challenges, an AI factory for pilot deployments and workforce skilling. The initiative is expected to strengthen Vi’s enterprise offerings while creating opportunities in India’s expanding AI-led business transformation market.
