Pakistan opens fire along International Borders: Violates ceasefire agreement

Pakistani Rangers violated the ceasefire by opening fire along the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district on Monday, a senior BSF officer said. A BSF spokesman said this is the first-ever ceasefire violation by Pakistan along the IB after the two countries signed a fresh agreement to maintain calm along the border on February 25 this year. “Pakistan Rangers resorted to unprovoked firing along IB at 0615 hours in Ramgarh sector”, Inspector General of BSF, Jammu frontier, N S Jamwal, told PTI. Indian-American non-profit body Sewa International, dispatches 2,184 oxygen concentrators.

Houston-based Indian-American non-profit body Sewa International, which has raised nearly $8 million towards Covid-19 relief efforts in India, has dispatched the first batch of 2,184 oxygen concentrators from Atlanta. The organisation has also ramped up its social media fund-raising goal from the earlier $5 million to $10 million now. India records 3,86,452 new COVID cases, 3498 deaths in 24 hours

India on Friday recorded as many as 3,86,452 new Covid-19 cases and 3498 deaths in last 24 hours. With this India's Covid-19 caseload now stands at 18,762,976. As many as 2,97,540 discharges have been made in the last 24 hours, as per Union Health Ministry.  In terms of cases, Maharashtra is followed by Kerala with 38,607 fresh cases and Uttar Pradesh 35,156. Delhi recorded 395 Covid-19 deaths and around 24,235 cases with positivity rate of 32.82 per cent.
