School Principal arrested for question paper leak

On Tuesday, three more persons arrested connected to HSLC question paper leak. The previews day after CID investigation 22 persons were arrested now adding 3 more. As per reports, including a school Principal and other persons, mostly students were detained by the Police. Assam Police said that all three arrested are from Government BDS Deaf and Dumb school in Kahilipara, Guwahati. Reports also says that the detained students were sharing the handwritten question paper in Whatsapp and mostly the students were from XI and XII along with some class X, metric candidates.

During a trilateral meeting with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and US President Joe Biden on Monday, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak affirmed an increase in Britain's defence budget of GBP 5 billion over the following two years. The AUKUS treaty, which was signed in 2021 as part of a cooperative effort to confront Chinese military might in the Indo-Pacific area, will be discussed by the world leaders, who will also decide on the specifics of a UK-US agreement to provide Australia with nuclear-powered submarines. According to Downing Street, the additional defence spending would cost GBP 3 billion.

Within three months, the SC orders the removal of the mosque from the Allahabad HC compound

The Supreme Court ordered officials to remove a mosque from the Allahabad High Court grounds within three months, telling petitioners who were opposed to the demolition that the building was on land with a terminated lease and that they could not continue to claim a legal title to it. In November 2017, the Allahabad High Court issued an order giving the petitioners, Waqf Masjid High Court and UP Sunni Central Waqf Board, three months to remove the mosque from the property.
