Ashwini Vaishnaw, the minister for railways, reviewed the preparations made at the depot for maintaining carriages and waggons for the Vande Bharat trains. A North Western Railway spokeswoman said the minister was pleased with the depot's prompt completion of the tasks given to it and declared it prepared for Vande Bharat train operations. The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed a new FIR in relation to alleged irregularities in the selection of assistant teachers for elementary schools in West Bengal in 2020.
