Since few weeks, due to continuous rain flood situation has affected many lives in the northeast region, Assam. According to some reports, the situation is settling down, it is getting improved. The affected number of people has decreased but 19,656 people were still affected by the deluge. Flood situation in the state has affected most in the state like Bridges, roads, culverts and irrigation canals were damaged in several districts including Nalbari, Chirang, Sonitpur, Dhubri and Goalpara.

News of a Police inspector was circulated over sexually assaulting and taking objectionable pictures of a minor girl inside the police station. The complaint was registered by the minor girl herself at Ghograpar Police Station in Nalbari. Recently, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited Manipur due to the ongoing hit between the communities in the state. Reacting to his visit, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that politicians should not try to take advantage when a state is going through a disturbed situation. “No political party or person should try to take advantage of a violence-hit state,” CM added. Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu expresses concern on Assam’s poor performance OF candidates in Indian Civil examination, UPSC. According to the reports, Assam candidates in Indian Civil Services stand at 1.62% as per official data. "We are seriously lagging behind. It’s a matter of serious concern. 538 teachers transfer has been approved by the state government, Assam Education Minister have notified its recent update through a tweet. Education Minister, Ranoj Pegu tweets, "Transfer orders of 538 Teachers under mutual category in Secondary Education have been issued. The same can be checked at http://hrmsassam.in portal. We are working on other applications.” The 538 teachers have been transferred under mutual category in Secondary Education. Earlier on June 14, the state's education minister shared the efforts to facilitate smooth and fair transfers. The initiative aims to optimize teacher placements and enhance the overall educational environment in schools across Assam.

Assam Rifles have played critical role in the ongoing Manipur violence especially for those who were displaced from the state. Since May 3, the situation in the state has worsened.
