WhatsApp is launching a new feature to make quicker payments within the app. This new feature will allow users to directly scan UPI QR codes from their chat list. The new Payment Feature is available to Android users via update 2.24.7.3. The UPI QR codes can be found on top of the chats list with shortcut. Meanwhile, screenshot restrictions are implemented for the upgraded feature. According to the sources, the feature is beneficial for UPI users in India. WhatsApp is aiming to make go-to option for most financial needs apart from just communications.

Counting date advanced for northeast from 4 to 2 June

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has released the schedules for the upcoming Lok sabha election, 2024. A notice issued by ECI has been updated about the changes of counting vote date in northeastern states. The notice said, "There shall be no change in respect of schedule for Parliamentary constituencies of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim."
