For reportedly possessing contraband items two men hailing from Tripura are arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Task Force

Recently two men hailing from Tripura were arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) from Happy Valley locality of Shillong on Wednesday for reportedly possessing contraband items. Actually the duo has been identified as Joel Tripura (29) and Joshua Khiangte (36), both hailing from Damchhara, North Tripura. According to police, following the crackdown, 11 soapboxes containing 139.98-gram heroin, one Aadhaar card, one PAN card, one mobile phone and one Tata Sumo vehicle (ML05N0515) were confiscated.

In fact a case under the NDPS Act has been registered, while investigation into the matter is under way. This is actually bad news as people today are engaged in illegal activity and creating problems to the society. People should take this type of case very strictly and informed to police if they find anything suspicious. Actually this type of activity affects the youth very much and creates danger to the future of the society. Police should take this case very seriously so that they can stop this type of activity in future.
