Assam’s Biswanath Ghat became the best tourism village of India 2023

Biswanath Ghat in Assam popularly known as ‘Gupta Kashi’ has been named as the ‘Best Tourism Village of India 2023’ by the Ministry of Tourism.

The Ghat is situated on the banks of the Brahmaputra River, to the South of Biswanath Charialii Town. The Ghat holds the first ‘Clock Tower of Assam’

The tourists spots in the village include Maa Kalyani Mandir, Biswanath Temple, Nomara Picnic Place, Biswanath Ghat, Nagsankar Temple, Monabarie Tea Estate, and Green Ashiyana Island Resort.
