Apsc conducts combined competitive (prelim) exam across 35 districts of assam

The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) on Sunday conducted the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, 2025 across 74 venues in 35 districts of Assam.
Official sources on Monday informed that the examination was conducted smoothly with the sustained assistance and support of the district and police administration of the districts, health and postal departments, municipal corporations, APDCL, principals and teachers of all educational institutions.
It may be noted that the examination was held against 78 posts where 41695 candidates applied.
The examination covered 11 services, comprising 45-posts for Assam Civil Service; six posts for Assam Police Service; three posts for district transport officer; one post for superintendent of excise; two posts for assistant registrar of cooperative societies; two posts for Assam Urban Administrative Service; five posts for inspector of labour; eight posts for assistant employment officer; four posts for sub-registrar; one post for research assistant and one post for inspector of excise.
APSC chairperson Prabhati Thaosen, on behalf of the Assam Public Service Commission, thanked the district commissioners, district nodal officers, district senior superintendents of police, health and postal departments, municipal corporations, APDCL, principals and teachers of all educational institutions who worked with dedication and enabled the Commission to conduct the examination effectively and seamlessly.
Notably, for the first time, the question papers of the exam were set in Assamese language along with English. The OMR sheet with carbon copy was provided for candidates while the provisional answer key of the examination was uploaded immediately after the examination on the same day.
