Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited (ABD) has expanded its premium and semi-premium offerings in the Canteen Stores Department (CSD), strengthening its presence in the defence channel. The company announced the inclusion of ICONiQ White International Grain Whisky, Jolly Roger Premium Rum, and Kyron Premium Brandy in its CSD portfolio, building on existing brands such as Officer’s Choice Blue and Sterling Reserve B10. The expansion enhances ABD’s footprint across 34 key depots nationwide, catering to a wide network of Ex-Servicemen canteens, Unit Run Canteens, Defence Officers’ Institutes, and Defence Clubs. The move is aimed at improving accessibility and offering a wider range of quality spirits to institutional consumers.
Among the highlights, ICONiQ Whisky has emerged as a strong performer in the prestige segment, recently crossing the 10-million-case milestone. Jolly Roger continues to hold its position as a reliable premium rum, while Kyron Premium Brandy targets evolving consumer preferences in the brandy segment. ABD’s portfolio now spans over 30 states and Union Territories, serving an estimated 13.5 million defence personnel, pensioners, and families through the CSD network.
In Kolkata, the expansion is expected to strengthen ABD’s premium positioning, with the city’s growing preference for quality spirits likely to support higher demand, particularly within institutional and defence-linked retail channels.
