Yogi Adityanath felicitates 1,600 students as Samsung scales future-tech training across India

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today felicitated 1,600 students trained under Samsung’s flagship skill development programme, Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC), at the Yogi Baba Gambhirnath Prekshagrih Auditorium in Gorakhpur. The initiative aims to empower youth with cutting-edge skills in Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Big Data and Coding & Programming. Samsung plans to upskill 20,000 students nationwide in 2025 — a six-fold jump from last year — across 10 states. Uttar Pradesh is a major focus area, with 5,000 students set to be trained in the state alone, nearly 25% of the national target. The programme has recorded 44% women participation, reinforcing Samsung’s push for inclusive digital skilling.

Praising the initiative, CM Adityanath said it supports the state’s goal of becoming a hub for skilled talent and digital excellence. “This initiative opens pathways to livelihood, self-reliance and dignity for our youth,” he said. Samsung Southwest Asia President & CEO JB Park said the programme strengthens India’s digital transformation and builds job-ready talent aligned with Skill India and Digital India missions.

In Kolkata, education technology training institutes and career-oriented skill centres have seen rising demand for AI and data-driven learning. Industry stakeholders say Samsung’s national push will further energize eastern India’s tech-learning ecosystem, with students in Kolkata increasingly seeking future-tech courses to meet evolving industry needs.
