Xiaomi India on Friday announced the sale of the REDMI 17C 5G, featuring a large display, long-lasting battery, 5G connectivity and AI-powered camera capabilities, targeting consumers seeking an all-round smartphone experience.
The device features a 6.9-inch display with a 120Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate and TÜV Rheinland certifications for Low Blue Light, Flicker Free and Circadian Friendly viewing. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 platform and supports up to 12GB RAM with Memory Extension.
The smartphone packs a 6,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. Xiaomi said internal testing showed the battery could retain at least 80% of its capacity after 1,000 full charge cycles. Other features include a 50MP AI camera, IP64 dust and water resistance, Wet Touch Technology 2.0 and Xiaomi HyperOS 3, with support for Google Gemini and Circle to Search.
The REDMI 17C 5G is priced at ₹20,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM and 128GB model costs ₹22,999. It is available through mi.com, Amazon.in and Xiaomi retail outlets.
In Guwahati, the launch adds another option for consumers looking for 5G smartphones with large displays and high-capacity batteries. Competition in this segment could influence purchasing decisions as buyers compare performance, battery life, camera features and pricing before upgrading their devices.
