Siliguri, 25th December: In a significant breakthrough, the officials of the New Jalpaiguri (NJP) police station recently found a stolen scooty (two-wheeler) within 12 hours of investigation. According to reports, on Sunday afternoon, the scooty owner, Saju Roy, a resident of Ambika Nagar in Siliguri, had parked his two-wheeler in front of his store when the vehicle mysteriously disappeared. Despite several attempts, he was unable to locate his scooty and consequently, filed a formal complaint at the NJP police station. Subsequently, the police launched an investigation and recovered the vehicle within 12 hours from Jorpokhri near Bhalobasha More. Still no possible suspect to have stolen the vehicle was present at the time.
Upon recovering the stolen vehicle, the police informed the owner, Saju Roy, as he arrived at the police station and identified the vehicle. Following the legal proceedings, on Monday, the NJP police handed over the scooty to its rightful owner. Meanwhile, the owner was elated to have recovered his vehicle as he expressed his gratification to the NJP police.
