With Durga Puja grant Siliguri’s Haider Para Sporting Club going to install CCTVs

Recently the Haider Para Sporting Club of Siliguri has taken the initiative to install CCTV cameras using the puja grant provided by the state government. This year, the state government allocated a grant of ₹85,000 to each club in the state in celebration of Durga Puja. The Haider Para Sporting Club aims to enhance security in the area with this initiative.

Reportedly, the club will actually install 15 CCTV cameras funded by the government grant. Nimai Pal, the general secretary of the club, stated that this initiative is aimed at ensuring the safety of women and residents in the area. In fact the club’s theme for this year is ‘Bandi Saisab,’ which seeks to highlight the issues of children’s addiction to mobile phones in the present era compared to childhood experiences in the past. Actually with a budget of around ₹20 lakh, this year’s puja is expected to attract significant attention from city dwellers, featuring special surprises in mandap decoration and lighting.
