Will the third wave of coronavirus enter the state through North Bengal, experts fear

Corona infections are on the rise in northeastern India. And that is why the health camp of Bengal is seeing clouds in vermilion. Their only concern now is, ‘Will the third wave enter the state through North Bengal?’

State health officials met Thursday with the Global Advisory Committee on Corona. According to the source, this fear has been raised again and again. The members of the advisory committee of the world have also warned the health department of the state. Because, to reach any part of India by road and rail from North East India, you have to cross North Bengal. It is also possible to travel to North Bengal by any route from the neighboring state of Assam. Daily statistics from the state health department for the last few days show that the number of cases from Kolkata to Darjeeling district is higher.

According to sources, the ‘Global Advisory Committee’ has advised to increase surveillance on all the people who will enter North Bengal from North-East India. According to health camp sources, negative report of RTPCR test on the plane is mandatory. But also by road and rail a lot of people came to this state from the north-east. Therefore, strict surveillance has been planned at Siliguri bus terminus. All passengers coming on the bus from Assam must have a negative report of RTPCR test or a certificate of taking the second dose of antidote.
