‘When Children Have Children’ By Mr. Bhuwan Ribhu

Bhuwan Ribhu’s book, ‘When Children Have Children: Tipping Point To End Child Marriage’, offers a blueprint for India to become free from child marriage by 2030, despite the ongoing issue of lakhs of minor girls being married off. The book provides a fresh hope for ending child marriage in India.

Bhuwan Ribhu, a prominent child rights activist and lawyer in India, has written a book aimed at eliminating child marriage in the country. The book provides a framework and action plan to eliminate child marriage, a key milestone in the Child Marriage Free India campaign.

The book was unveiled in 22 districts of West Bengal on International Day of the Girl Child, as part of the nationwide campaign led by civil society organizations and women activists in over 300 high prevalence districts. Ravi Kant, Country Head, Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation, said “This book gives a tangible structure and direction to the immense but scattered efforts of all the stakeholders from the civil society to the government authorities and law enforcement agencies.”
