Range Rover opens the wait list for its highly anticipated Range Rover Electric, ahead of formal orders opening to clients. Range Rover has announced its first fully electric vehicle, enhancing its modern luxury credentials with its distinctive British design and go-anywhere capability, offering towing, wading, and all-terrain technology that surpasses any other luxury electric SUV.
New Range Rover Electric is being developed with more patents filed than any other Range Rover before, and prototypes are under rigorous engineering sign-off programs to confirm its capabilities in extreme temperatures, conditions, and terrains. Engineers aim to create the quietest and most refined Range Rover ever, featuring active road noise cancellation and sound design, and cabin comfort levels enabled by its electric underpinnings.
The electric vehicle will offer a seamless electric ownership experience, with effortless charging, energy partnerships, software-over-the-air updates, and intelligent technology to maximize range. The Range Rover Electric will be built on the flexible Modular Longitudinal Architecture in Solihull, UK, alongside existing plug-in electric hybrid vehicles. Geraldine Ingham, Managing Director, Range Rover said, “Marking a new era for the Range Rover brand: the original luxury SUV is now available as an all-electric model.”
