VLCC India, a leading wellness and beauty brand, has taken a significant step in supporting the Government of India’s Skill India Mission by launching an industry-first initiative: 100% guaranteed placement for eligible students along with scholarships of up to 100% for meritorious and underserved youth. The move aims to empower India’s youth and bridge the growing employability gap in the beauty and wellness sector.
As part of this mission, VLCC inaugurated 14 new VLCC School of Beauty institutes, expanding its training network to 106 institutes nationwide, with a strong focus on Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns. VLCC has already trained over 1 lakh individuals through its certified skilling programs since 2001.
“This is more than a skilling initiative; it’s a movement,” said Vikas Gupta, MD & CEO, VLCC. “We are enabling confidence and financial independence for thousands of young Indians.” The initiative is expected to benefit the Kolkata market significantly, where demand for certified beauty and wellness professionals continues to rise. Local salons and wellness centers are likely to tap into this new skilled talent pool, boosting regional employment and entrepreneurial opportunities.
