Virtual Webinars Organised by Guwahati Branch of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India

Guwahati Branch of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is currently organizing Virtual Webinars regularly on various subjects for updating its members and students. The Branch generally holds Seminars at the institute premises but due to ongoing situation of COVID-19, the branch is holding virtual webinars on regular basis for its members and have organized 15 such webinars on subjects like Standards on Auditing, how to excel in Excel, GST Notifications, Information Technology, Company Fresh Start Scheme 2020, Bank Audit, Drafting and Articulation, Tax Planning through Succession and HUF, GST Annual Audit and Returns, etc. during this period of Lockdown to update the members.
ICAI has also come up with good number of virtual courses for the continued professional updating of the members. Most importantly, the ICAI has taken lots of initiatives for its students during this time of pandemic and has recently announced free online virtual classes for the students with the best of faculties available in the country. Branch Chairman CA Sharad Agarwalla urged all the CA students to take advantage of the same. Apart from this ICAI has initiated all other students and members activities on online basis throughout the country. State of the art IT infrastructure has been developed so that members and students doesn’t suffer due to nationwide lockdown.
The Branch Chairman CA Sharad Agarwalla has informed that the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic has affected human life in such a way that everything has almost become stand still and in- person meetings, workshops and seminars has to be cancelled. However, to overcome the situation the branch is organizing such events online in the form of virtual webinars for the benefits of member and students. Even the CA Day celebrations on 1st July were also held online. He further added that many more informative and professional development virtual programs are in pipeline in the coming days. He stressed that the role of chartered Accountants has increased many folds at this time of crises and revival of economy. He added that CA’s can play a pivotal role in making “Atmanirvar” Bharat.
All the programs were well attended by members in good number and were truly appreciated.
