Vikram Solar illuminates Kolkata Durga Puja pandal with Tagore’s words

Vikram Solar Limited has partnered with Ahiritola Sarbojonin Sarodotsav 2026 as its title sponsor, combining Rabindranath Tagore’s literary legacy with solar energy under the campaign “EbarPujoRobirAloy” (This Pujo, in the Light of the Sun).

Organised by Ahiritola Jubak Brinda, the festival features a solar-powered art installation illuminated by Vikram Solar panels. The installation showcases Tagore’s handwritten poem and will remain lit throughout the festival, linking Bengal’s cultural heritage with the potential of clean energy.

The pandal was inaugurated on the evening of October 15 in the presence of senior government representatives, including Industry Minister Tapas Roy and Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Purnima Chakraborty, along with Vikram Solar executives and other prominent personalities.

Gyanesh Chaudhary, chairman and managing director of Vikram Solar, said Durga Puja represented Bengal’s art, faith and community spirit. He said the initiative aimed to demonstrate how solar power could illuminate homes, traditions and the future.

The campaign builds on the company’s earlier community-focused clean energy initiatives, including a solar initiative during Ganeshotsav in Pune and the “Sixes for Solar” campaign during the Indian Premier League. Through these efforts, the company aims to bring conversations about India’s energy transition into public celebrations and community spaces.
