Vi, one of India’s leading telecom operators, announced the addition of more than 1,00,000 towers across the country in just six months of FY24-25, reinforcing its commitment to network expansion and quality connectivity. To celebrate this milestone, Vi launched an innovative campaign featuring “Netties,” animated mobile tower avatars styled as a cricket team, riding the wave of ongoing IPL fervor. The campaign, conceptualized by Ogilvy India, includes two TV commercials promoting Vi’s network strength and agility, airing across TV, OTT, radio, and social media platforms.
Vi has also expanded its 5G services to Mumbai, Chandigarh, and Patna, with plans to launch in Delhi and Bangalore soon. Alongside, its 4G network has been enhanced across multiple spectrum bands to improve indoor and outdoor coverage, reaching over 1.07 billion people nationwide.
Vi’s network upgrade is expected to bolster connectivity for the city’s growing digital user base. The improved infrastructure will support better data speeds and service reliability, meeting increasing demands in Assam’s commercial hub and enhancing customer experience. Vi’s Chief Marketing Officer, Avneesh Khosla, highlighted that the expansion emphasizes strategic deployment in high-traffic areas to deliver a future-proof network. The “Netties” campaign embodies Vi’s promise of consistent and quality service across India.
