Seeking to enhance that experience, telecom operator Vi has partnered with global audio streaming platform Spotify to provide eligible postpaid subscribers with three months of complimentary Spotify Premium, combining mobile connectivity with premium entertainment benefits.
The offer is available on Vi’s individual postpaid plans priced at Rs. 451, Rs. 551, Rs. 751 and Rs. 1,201 (REDX), as well as select family postpaid plans, with the benefit extended to the primary member. Eligible customers who have not previously used Spotify can activate the subscription through the Vi App. The Premium service includes ad-free listening to more than 100 million songs, access to over seven million podcast titles, offline downloads, unlimited skips, full playback control across devices and high-quality audio streaming of up to 320 kbps. After the complimentary three-month period, subscribers can continue the service through Vi’s “Add to Bill” option at Rs. 139 per month.

Spotify India Managing Director AmarjitBatra said the first-of-its-kind telecom partnership in India would make premium music streaming more accessible while creating long-term value for artists, creators and the country’s music industry.
The announcement is expected to resonate with consumers in Shillong, where students, young professionals and music enthusiasts are among the fastest-growing users of digital streaming services. As demand for seamless entertainment continues to rise alongside better mobile connectivity, bundled offerings such as Spotify Premium could encourage more consumers to choose postpaid plans, helping Vi strengthen its presence in the city’s evolving digital marketplace while giving users greater value from their telecom subscriptions.
