KS Prem Kumar, ardently known by his pen name Kochu Preman, died at 68, in a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday. According to Mathurbhumi, the actor was from the long time was battling from a respiratory problems and was under the process of treatment for the same.
He kicked off his career being a theatre artist, made his film debut with the film Dilliwala Rajakumaran (1996), which stars Manju Warrier and Jayaram in the main roles.
Since the time being, he had worked in around 250 movies and was known for his comedian roles. He was popular for movies such as Guru (1997), Thenkasipattanam (2000), Pappi Appacha (2010), and Leela (2016). He was ultimately seen in the movie Oru Pappadavada Premam (2021).
Many Malayalam actos such as Prithviraj and Aju Varghese took to social media to pay tribute.
