Velnik India Limited has busted a racket manufacturing and selling duplicate Kaveri mehandi cones. On Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 5 p.m., the team of Velnik India Limited executed this action with the cooperation of the Enforcement Department and Mali Panch Gora Police. From the said location, Biswanath Prasad was illegally manufacturing, refilling, storing, and selling Bhojpuri Duplicate Kaveri Mehandi cones. The police are investigating by registering an FIR against the accused. The manner in which the accused procured the raw material from the local market and manufactured the packaging, which looks like the original brand, is also being probed.The police seized the duplicate product and its packaging material during the operation. The police have found 70 boxes with 840 packets of henna cones on the spot, 25 empty packets, a blue-coloured 5 litre plastic drum, a ready-made henna packet with 2 pieces and its mixture, a henna cone wrapper with about 40 pieces, 1 small iron refilling machine, and 1 piece mehndi cone small electric mixer machine have been seized.
Bharat Dembla, Legal Counsel of Velnik India Limited Company, said that the only manufacturing unit of Kaveri Mehndi Cones is located in District Pali, Rajasthan, and not anywhere else. It has been observed earlier in many different states that many people were found selling duplicates in this way. Suitable, strict legal action will be taken against those found openly selling duplicate cones of Kaveri Mehndi in the market and doing such an illegal sale.
