VE Commercial Vehicles, a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, showcased its Made-in-India range of sustainable and eco-friendly mobility solutions at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. The company, which has been in operation for 15 years, is committed to being the best example of Make In India through sustainable technology, robust product range, and state-of-the-art manufacturing. Vinod Aggarwal, MD and Chairman, VE Commercial Vehicles expressed gratitude to the Government of India for the opportunity to showcase their alternative fuel solutions, which will not only transform India but also support cleaner transport in over 40 countries.
The products on display include India’s first 5.5 tonne electric truck Eicher Pro 2055 EV, the Eicher Pro 8055 dual fuel LNG+CNG tractor, the Eicher Pro 12 meter EV bus, the Volvo FM electric highway tractor-trailer, and the state-of-the-art 15m Volvo 9600 luxury coach Buses.
The company also presented the Eicher Hydrogen IC engine advanced prototype, aligned with the Government of India’s Green Hydrogen Mission and offering a promising path to zero tail-pipe emissions. All Eicher and Volvo trucks and buses are supported with a wide variety of support solutions, ensuring higher productivity and efficiency for trucks, buses, drivers, and fleet managers.
