VAHDAM® India expands scholarship program to empower youth in tea-growing regions

VAHDAM® India has announced the expanded 2025 edition of the Nandlall & Savita Devi Sarda Scholarship under its flagship TEACH ME® initiative, aiming to support more students from tea, herb, and spice-growing communities across India. The program, which began in 2020, now includes three tiers—SPARK, ASCEND, and AIM—designed to offer financial aid and academic coaching at various educational stages.

The SPARK Foundation Program has already awarded 20 scholarships in 2025 to top-performing 10th-grade students. Applications are now open for the ASCEND program, which provides structured coaching and aid for competitive exams like NEET and JEE. The AIM program offers scholarships up to ₹3 lakh for students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, with 74 recipients to date.

The initiative has been well-received, particularly among students in Darjeeling and Siliguri who frequent the city for higher education. Education consultants in the region have welcomed VAHDAM®’s commitment to bridging access and opportunity for rural talent. “This scholarship is very close to our hearts,” said Bala Sarda, Founder & CEO. “It’s our way of giving back to the hands and families that make everything we do possible.” Applications are open till July 20, 2025, on the official VAHDAM® India website.
