On 22 March 2026, ULFA(I) instigated a standoff attack near an Assam Police Commando camp in Jagun, Tinsukia district, Assam, around 0200 hours, which resulted in unexploded ordnance, including RPG and UBGL rounds. This posed significant dangers to the local community. In response, Red Shield Sappers and the Assam Rifles dispatched a Bomb Disposal team to the scene, establishing a secure perimeter and enforcing rigorous safety protocols. The unexploded devices were neutralized safely away from residential areas, averting any potential hazards to lives and property.
