Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, the Hon’ble Minister of Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, inaugurated the Skill India Centre (SIC) in Angul, aiming to equip the Yuva Peedhi youth with employability and new-age skills, opening avenues for employment in domestic and global markets.
The centre aims to become a futuristic hub by equipping the youth with futuristic skills in high-demand trades and catalyzing entrepreneurship and skill development on a large scale. It will enable the youth to leverage modern technologies, provide hands-on experiences on new-age technologies, and facilitate career advancement aligned with the demands of the future of work and skill development.
By offering training on diverse job roles, the centre will play a pivotal role in nurturing the capabilities of the youth, fostering innovation, and building a New India that resonates with the aspirations and goals of the young talent. The SIC will impart training to a diverse range of ten courses. It will also play an instrumental role in shaping education by engaging with industry experts to design curricula that evolve in tandem with changing industry needs.While speaking at the event, Shri Pradhan said, “Around1000 children will annually benefit from skill enhancement programs offered at the centre, thereby contributing to personal growth as well as the nation’s economic development”.
