Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit monarch inaugurated Mega dairy farm at Mandya in Karnataka. The mega dairy farm inaugurated at a value of Rs 260 crore would method 10 lakh liters of milk per day and also the can have the capability to extend it upto 14in lakh per day. 10lakh liters of milk is processed, prosperity reaches the homes of lakhs of farmers. There area unit 15,210 village level cooperative dairies in Karnataka, within which concerning 26.22 hundred thousand farmers deliver their milk daily and through 16 district level dairies, Rs 28 crore is deposited into the accounts of 26th lakh farmers on a daily basis.
Around 66,000 kilogram milk wont to be processed daily in Karnataka in 1975 whereas nowadays over 82 lakh kilogram milk is processed daily and 80% of the entire turnover goes to the farmer. Amul and Nandini can work along towards establishing primary dairies in each village of Karnataka in next 3 years. The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) can get all technical support and cooperation from Amul. The National dairy farm Development Board (NDDB) and also the Ministry of Cooperation can establish a primary dairy farm in each punchayet of the country within the next 3 years.
