Citing the necessity of restructuring in the current situation, the United Liberation Front of Asom (Independent) [ULFA-I] announced the reconstruction of its central committee following the dissolution of its current organisational councils.The group unanimously agreed to dissolve its supreme, senior, and junior councils after examining the matter from all angles, according to a statement released in the name of its chairman, Paresh Asom. According to the announcement, the central committee has been reorganised in accordance with the new organisational structure that has been established.
The group asserted that the decision was made taking into account the necessity and applicability of organisational restructuring in the present. The message was accompanied by information about the newly established central committee. The organization’s list states that Michael Asom has been named Vice Chairman and Paresh Asom remains Chairman. Parama Asom has been appointed Cultural Secretary, while Maitri Asom has been appointed General Secretary.
Milton Asom was appointed Organisational Secretary, Colonel Minati Asom was appointed Women’s Welfare Secretary, and Manik Asom was appointed Assistant Finance Secretary. A number of additional members have been given duties in several sectors, including public health, publicity, cultural affairs, agriculture and shelter development, finance, and organisational management.Paresh Asom signed the statement, which was released on the organization’s behalf and stated that the decision was made unanimously by its leadership.As of now, security services have not responded to the assertion.
