Former French prime minister Edouard Philippe said here on Friday that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was a “deliberate act of aggression” against the global order and not only an issue for Europe. He added that existing in a world run by the authoritarian China would be different from doing so in one run by the United States. At the city’s St Xavier’s College, Philippe gave a lecture titled “The quest for balance in an uneven world” while on a visit to India. “One would believe that Europe should be concerned about the situation in Ukraine. I’ll tell you right now that it’s not, “He made the comment in reference to Russia’s just ended war in Ukraine.
