Ukraine has restored the Chernobyl Nuclear Plant

After Ukraine completely lost at the Russian-controlled site, it has restored Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). It has been said by the Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi.

Rafael Mariano Grossi received this news from the head of Ukraine’s nuclear power company Energoatom Petro Kotin. He told him that the one of the two damaged lines was fixed by the specialists. He also said that now they would be able to deliver all required off-site power to this Chernobyl NPP. Following the 1986 accident, various radioactive waste management facilities are located there.

The regulator of Ukraine informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that the country’s transmission system operator, the repair personnel of Ukrenergo has restored the power supply line at 18:38 CET.

The Nuclear Power Plant of Chernobyl will be reconnected to the Ukrainian electricity grid. This NPP also continues to work on the backup diesel generators.

Russia takes the control of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant of Ukraine. Because of this control this NPP is not in a position to deliver the necessary equipment, spare parts and specialized personnel to carry out planned repairs.

Ukraine indicated to the IAEA that NPP is in danger. But Russia denied all of their claims about danger.
