TVS Motor, IndianOil partner to strengthen green LPG delivery network

TVS Motor Company and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IndianOil) have entered into a strategic partnership to promote sustainable last-mile LPG cylinder distribution across India by deploying TVS King Kargo HD commercial vehicles through IndianOil’s extensive distributor network. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Coimbatore, marking the beginning of a long-term collaboration focused on cleaner and more efficient commercial mobility.

Under the partnership, TVS Motor will work with IndianOil’s network of more than 13,000 LPG distributors to facilitate the adoption of TVS King Kargo HD vehicles for doorstep cylinder deliveries. The initiative aims to reduce carbon emissions, improve operational efficiency, lower the total cost of ownership for distributors, and support the Government of India’s clean mobility objectives. The first phase of vehicle deliveries to IndianOil distributors is expected to begin shortly. TVS Motor Business Head for Commercial Mobility Rajat Gupta said the collaboration would help businesses improve productivity while making sustainable mobility more practical and accessible. IndianOil Executive Director V. C. Asokan said the induction of electric cargo vehicles would modernise the LPG distribution ecosystem, improve fleet productivity, reduce operating costs and contribute to greener logistics across the country.

In Guwahati, the partnership is expected to generate interest among LPG distributors and commercial fleet operators in Assam, where demand for efficient last-mile delivery solutions continues to grow. Industry observers believe the availability of cleaner cargo vehicles could encourage faster adoption of sustainable transport in the region while supporting distribution efficiency and reducing operating expenses for local businesses.
