TVS Motor Company posts 21% sales growth in August on strong EV and export demand

TVS Motor Company, part of TVS VENU, reported a 21% year-on-year increase in monthly sales to 616,540 units in August 2026, compared with 509,536 units sold in the same month last year.

Two-wheeler sales grew 21% to 591,437 units from 490,788 units in August 2025. Domestic two-wheeler sales increased 18% to 433,796 units from 368,862 units, indicating sustained demand in the company’s home market.

The company’s electric vehicle segment recorded the sharpest growth, with two-wheeler EV sales surging 137% to 59,453 units in August 2026 from 25,138 units a year earlier.

TVS Motor’s international business also posted strong growth, with total sales rising 29% to 174,452 units from 135,367 units in August 2025. International two-wheeler sales increased 29% to 157,641 units from 121,926 units during the period.

The company’s three-wheeler segment registered 34% growth, with sales rising to 25,103 units in August 2026 from 18,748 units in August 2025.

The August performance highlights broad-based growth across TVS Motor’s two-wheeler, electric vehicle, international and three-wheeler businesses.
