TVS Motor Company reported its highest-ever monthly sales performance in May 2026, registering total sales of 5,66,585 units, marking a 31 per cent growth compared to 4,31,275 units sold during the same month last year.
The company said total two-wheeler sales rose 31 per cent to 5,43,111 units in May 2026 from 4,16,166 units a year ago. Domestic two-wheeler sales also recorded strong growth of 24 per cent, increasing to 3,84,565 units from 3,09,287 units in May 2025. Motorcycle sales grew 30 per cent to 2,73,802 units, while scooter sales rose 32 per cent to 2,20,740 units during the month.
TVS Motor’s electric vehicle segment continued its strong momentum, with EV sales surging 56 per cent to 43,632 units compared to 27,976 units in May last year, making it the company’s highest-ever EV sales performance.
International business emerged as another major growth driver, with total overseas sales rising 49 per cent to a record 1,75,991 units from 1,18,437 units in May 2025. International two-wheeler sales increased 48 per cent to 1,58,546 units.
In Guwahati, rising consumer demand for scooters, motorcycles and electric vehicles has been contributing to stronger sales trends across Assam and the Northeast. Growing interest in personal mobility and expanding EV adoption are expected to support further demand for TVS products in the region.
The company’s three-wheeler segment also posted robust growth of 55 per cent, with sales increasing to 23,474 units from 15,109 units a year earlier.
