Turkish Airlines carried 9.5 million passengers in July 2026, recording a total load factor of 86.5%, as the airline continued to see growth in passenger and cargo traffic.
According to the airline’s July traffic results, international load factor stood at 86.2%, while domestic load factor was 89.1%. Available seat kilometres (ASK) rose 2.7% year-on-year to 25.7 billion during the month, compared with 25 billion in July 2025. Cargo and mail volumes also increased 4.9% to 203.1 thousand tonnes.
For the January-July 2026 period, Turkish Airlines carried 54 million passengers, up 5.4% from the corresponding period last year. Total load factor stood at 84.2%, with international and domestic load factors at 84% and 85.7%, respectively. ASK increased 4.7% to 161.2 billion, while cargo and mail volumes climbed 12% to 1.4 million tonnes from 1.2 million tonnes.
In Kolkata, the continued growth in international passenger and cargo traffic highlights the broader expansion of India’s aviation and trade demand. For Kolkata, stronger global air connectivity and rising cargo volumes could support international business, tourism and high-value goods movement, particularly across Europe and other overseas markets.
By the end of July, Turkish Airlines’ fleet stood at 563 aircraft. The consolidated traffic figures include Turkish Airlines and AJet operations.
