Tripura has access the TeleHealth revolution

Nearly 10,000 people across Tripura have accessed top-quality, technology-enabled healthcare over the last 6 months, through the telehealth program initiated by the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC). The telehealth services have been provided by the Apollo Hospitals Group, one of India’s most reputed integrated healthcare providers.

The services enabled under the Apollo TeleHealth Program include 6 Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) operating across regions such as Dhalai, Gomati, Khowai, Sipahijala and more, a teleconsultation node that allows patients virtual access to Apollo’s doctors from 20+ specialties and a fully equipped Tele-Emergency centre. All these services are delivered free of cost to the people of Tripura.

The TTAADC and Apollo Tele-Emergency unit has been saving the lives of patients who have suffered heart attacks, respiratory distress and other serious conditions. It is fully equipped with advanced medical and ICT devices and can handle patients with minor trauma, strokes and even snake bites.Through the Mobile Medical Units and the teleconsultation node, more than 8000+ consultations have been delivered to people in some of the most inaccessible parts of Tripura. In addition, diagnostic tests for conditions like hypertension, diabetes, anaemia and medicines to manage these conditions are given to patients free of cost.
