Toyota Kirloskar Motor Introduces Organizational Change

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced organizational changes, elevating key senior management to foster high-potential, customer-focused, and flexible leadership in India. Starting January 1, 2024, the decision aims to enhance Toyota’s operations by accelerating the transition towards a future-ready organization, bolstering the country’s growing global business significance.

TKM’s Leadership Team has seen changes, with Mr. Tadashi Asazuma being elevated to Deputy Managing Director – Sales-Service-Used CarTKM & Lexus. Asazuma will oversee Toyota & Lexus’ sales, service, and used car functions, aiming to drive growth and customer-centricity. Mr. Swapnesh R Maru, currently Executive Vice President & Chief Compliance Officer, has been elevated to Deputy Managing Director – Corporate Planning, Finance & Administration and Manufacturing, focusing on manufacturing and aligning TKM’s growth potential.

Following the recent announcement by Toyota Motor Corporation on the creation of “India, Middle East, East Asia & Oceania” Region wherein MD and CEO of TKM, Mr. Masakazu Yoshimura was also  appointed as the Regional CEO, these organisational changes are strategically aligned to additionally boost efficiencies and deliver on India’s pivotal role. Mr. Masakazu Yoshimura, MD and CEO of Toyota Kirloskar Motor and Regional CEO at Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), said, ” I am confident that, together as one team, we are well positioned to capitalise on the increasing potential of the Indian market by significantly building on Toyota’s ability towards delivering ‘Mass Happiness to All” and achieving ‘Carbon Neutrality’ goals in India.”
