Toyota Kirloskar Motor announced the launch of the 57th T-TEP institute at SiMTEI training institute, Gangtok with the support of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), and the Automotive Skill Development Corporation (ASDC). The primary objective of this initiative is to enhance the student’s skill sets with a special focus on rural areas, thereby strengthening their employability through the company’s unique training initiative namely Toyota Technical Education Program (T-TEP).
Aimed at generating talented and technically skilled professionals for the automobile industry, T-TEP strongly contributes to India’s “Skill India” mission. With T-TEP, thus far, TKM is associated with 56 ITIs/Polytechnic Institutes covering 22 states across the country. Currently, more than 10,000 students have been trained and 70% of the students are working in various automobile company dealerships in the country.
Through the T-TEP initiative, we develop talented youths by equipping them with world-class training on advanced technologies. In this direction, our collaboration with SiMTEI training institute, Gangtok will strengthen the talent pool from the grass root level and provide opportunities for youth with a special focus on rural areas.
