Under the theme “Unite for Responsible Resource Consumption Towards Becoming Global No.1,” TKM embarks on a month-long journey aimed at fostering eco-awareness and advocating for a greener future.
Aligned with the Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050 (TEC 2050), TKM’s initiative underscores its commitment to environmental stewardship. With a focus on water management and ecosystem revival, the company aims to address critical issues highlighted by the United Nations Environment Programme, including Land Restoration and Desertification.Transitioning from a carmaker to a mobility company, TKM has embraced sustainable practices, as evidenced by its ambitious environmental goals. Achieving carbon neutrality and promoting a future society in harmony with nature are core objectives of the TEC 2050.
TKM’s efforts in water conservation and ecosystem restoration have yielded significant results, with notable milestones including a rise in groundwater levels and extensive rainwater harvesting initiatives. Moreover, the company’s reforestation endeavors, utilizing the Miyawaki concept, have seen the planting of over 328,000 trees within its premises. Mr. B.
