Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has flagged off Environment Month 2025 with the theme “Sustainable Resource Management Drive,” aligning with the Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050 and its vision of achieving carbon neutrality and environmental leadership. This year’s campaign emphasizes “Zero-Base Thinking,” encouraging the adoption of the 4Rs—Refuse, Recycle, Reuse, and Reduce—to promote long-term sustainability across operations and the supply chain.
Key milestones highlighted include 100% renewable energy use for grid electricity, 96% waste recyclability, and an 89.3% recycled and rainwater contribution to total water needs. TKM’s unique 25-acre Ecozone has so far engaged over 42,000 students and stakeholders in environmental learning.
The “TKM Sustainable Hub 2025” will host Green Expo, Wealth from Waste, Tech Shows, and eco-friendly lifestyle exhibitions throughout June. The company is also pursuing zero plastic packaging by 2030 and has introduced upcycled products and kaizen-led resource efficiency initiatives. Where awareness of eco-friendly living is growing, Toyota’s campaign is expected to resonate well with environmentally conscious consumers. Local car dealerships and service centers are gearing up to showcase green innovations and promote community tree plantation drives aligned with TKM’s afforestation goals. Executive VP B. Padmanabha emphasized the need for transformative action, saying, “Environment Month is a call to action for all to contribute to a greener future.”
