On the occasion of Bohag Bihu, Topcem Cement held “Topcem Rongali Bihu Celebration 2022,” a festive programme for old age homes, child care facilities, and differently abled youngsters from various institutions. The Bohag Bihu, also known as the Rongali Bihu, is a famous celebration that commemorates the beginning of spring. Bohag Bihu is also known as the season of joy, celebration, and enjoyment, among other things. It’s also the gifting season. With their yearly Bohag Bihu celebration events, Topcem Cement has devoted itself to spreading the Bohag Bihu cheer among elderly inhabitants of old age homes, youngsters of Child Care Homes, and differently abled children from various institutions.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Anil Kapur, President, Sales & Marketing, Meghalaya Cement Ltd. Said “Topcem has always worked in various fields for the development of the society and will continue to do so in the near future. Working with specially abled children, Old Age Homes and Child Care Homes have always been a valuable part of Topcem cements various activities. Rongali Bihu Celebration is the most important among all.”
The Topcem Rongali Bihu Celebration 2022 began on April 8, 2022, with the first activity held at Pramod Talukdar Memorial Old Age Home, which included the presentation of presents, bihu delicacies such as pitha, laru, and flower pots, as well as a Bihu dance. Similar activities will be held at Sishu Sarothi in Guwahati, Amoya Chalihaloy- Open Shelter for Boys in Guwahati, Amar Ghar in Guwahati, Sonapur Govt. Old Age Home in Sonapur, Kalyani Niwas Children Home for Girls in Guwahati, Seneh in Guwahati, and Ashadeep Rehabilitation Centre in Boko over the course of four days across the districts of Kamrup(M) and Kamrup.
