To curb the use of illegal firecrackers during the Kali Puja festivities the Siliguri Metropolitan Police took swift action

Recently the Siliguri Metropolitan Police took swift action to curb the use of illegal firecrackers during the Kali Puja festivities. Actually a significant amount of banned firecrackers was seized during a raid in the Nepali Basti of NJP. In fact this led to the arrest of a businessman, Jhantu Pal, a resident of Surya Sen Colony in Ward No. 34 of Siliguri. Actually acting on a tip-off, the officers from NJP police station conducted the operation on Tuesday evening. Authorities actually recovered illegal firecrackers worth lakhs from Jhantu Pal’s possession and subsequently arrested him.

After this the arrested individual was presented in the Jalpaiguri court on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the police have initiated an investigation into the incident also. This is very serious incident and it should be taken very strictly to solve this case. Actually it is our duty to celebrate this diwali very safely by following the rules. Using illegal firecrackers is very bad things and it mainly harms our environment by creating lots of pollution.
