A Trinamool Congress (TMC) panchayat leader was killed in an alleged bomb assault in Birbhum, almost a week after two councillors had been gunned down in West Bengal.
Unidentified assailants hurled crude bombs at TMC’s Bhadu Pradhan in Birbhum’s Rampurhat on Monday.
According to sources, Pradhan was getting closer to State Highway 50 when miscreants hurled crude bombs at him. He used to be rushed to Rampurhat Medical College, the place he was reported dead.
This comes simply a week after two councillors in West Bengal had been shot through unknown assailants. Last Sunday evening, a TMC councillor was once shot in North 24 Parganas’ Panihati, and a Congress chief used to be shot in Purulia’s Jhalda.
