Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) showcased its Electrified Flex Fuel Vehicles at the India Sugar & Bio-Energy Conference, 2023, organized by ISMA, ISO, and the Indian Government. The company emphasized the importance of biofuels in achieving carbon neutrality and adisruption-free energy transition from fossil fuel consumption. The company’s advanced green vehicle technology was displayed at the event.
A conference involving 500 participants focused on the sugar economy and bio-fuels sector, aimed at sharing knowledge and innovative technologies for inclusive growth. The event also discussed the recent Memorandum of Understanding between Toyota Motor Corporation (TMK) and ISMA, promoting ethanol as a clean, indigenous, renewable energy source for the Indian automotive industry.
Toyota, a global champion of sustainability, aims to achieve Carbon Neutrality by 2050 and Net Zero Carbon in Manufacturing Operations by 2035. The company is advancing greener mobility solutions by introducing and supporting multiple clean technologies that align with each market’s unique requirements. Marking the ISBEC, Mr. Aditya Jhunjhunwala, President of Indian Sugar Mills Association, said, “Together, we can pave the way for a cleaner and more sustainable future in the automotive sector and contribute to the larger goal of reducing carbon emissions and fossil fuel consumption in our country.”
