TKM announces the launch of the 64th T-TEP institute in Varanasi

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched the 64th T-TEP institute at the Government Industrial Training Institute in Karaundi, Varanasi. The primary objective of this initiative is to enhance the skill set of students especially from rural areas, thereby enhancing their employability through the company’s unique training initiative namely Toyota Technical Education Program (T-TEP).
The program was launched by Mr. Arun Kumar Yadav, Principal, Government Industrial Training Institute, Karaundi, Varanasi, Mr.Vikram Gulati, Country Head and Executive Vice President, Mr V. Wiseline Sigamani,General Manager, Strategic Business Unit, TKM, and Mr. Rahul Goenka, Dealer Principal, Rajendra Toyota.


T-TEP is a year-long program for final-year ITI/Diploma students, focusing on On-the-Job Training (OJT) and practical skills. It is associated with 64 ITI/Diploma institutes across 26 states, with over 12,000 students trained and over 70% working in various automobile companies. TKM has announced a Scholarship program for Technical Education And Recognition (STAR) to empower students from financially challenging backgrounds and strengthen the talent pool. The program also collaborates with the Government Industrial Training Institute, Karaundi, Varanasi, focusing on rural areas.

Mr Arun Kumar Yadav, Principal, Government Industrial Training Institute, Karaundi, Varanasi said, “With this collaboration, students at Government Industrial Training Institute, Karaundi, Varanasi will get an opportunity to understand Toyota’s values, best practices, and advance technologies, thereby benefitting the students, the Indian auto industry, and contributing to Skill India Mission.”
